Also called Bright Winter, your season is full of bright and intense colors that only you can pull off! (No, it’s not neons, I promise!) You shine best in 50% saturated, bright colors that lean cool. Knowing your best colors will help you streamline your shopping trips, trim down your closet, and save you from wasting time wondering why certain outfits don’t look as great on you as they do on Pinterest. Just follow these simple steps and watch the compliments–and confidence–roll in!
Clear Winters stand out with cool undertones and vivid contrast, making icy tones and bold jewels come alive. This season is defined by sharp, striking combinations: cool pinks, cobalt blues, and bright yellows that mirror the natural brightness and contrast in your features.

As you can see here, your best colors are on the cool and saturated side, but their main attribute is brightness. Your worst colors are muted and muddy shades that have lots of gray mixed in
Once you understand your season, everything clicks. Your wardrobe feels more cohesive, your makeup routine becomes easier, and your confidence grows. It’s not because you’re trying harder, but because you’re working with your features instead of against them.

If you are a Clear Winter, your eyes are bright and have a certain sparkle to them. Your hair is on the cooler and darker side, usually an espresso brown or a black. Your skin tone can range from light to dark.

When buying make up, look for cool and 50% saturated pinks like strawberry and raspberry. You can even try a bright red lip (just make sure it’s on the cool side). Shiny lip gloss is also always a good idea!
For Clear Winters, you can skip the contouring and heavy dark eyeshadow, as it goes against your best asset, which is that brightness. Opt for a fun and flirty glittery eye lid over a smokey eye!
For nail polish, you can pick any color straight from your color pallette! You can even choose from this full color palette here

As you can see, these celebrities all look radiant in their best colors. The intense and 50% saturated bright pinks, aquas, reds and blues don’t overpower them at all. In fact, these colors take the backseat, letting their natural features steal the spotlight. If you are a Clear Winter, then the same will happen when you wear these colors!

We can’t forget jewelry! Because your main attributes are bright and cool, your jewelry should reflect that as well. Opt for bright, saturated stones like emeralds, sapphires, rubies, pink garnets–you get the idea! You can even opt for an opal if you’re feeling wild.
For metals, opt for silver, platinum, or white gold! If you simply cannot let go of your gold, and we don’t blame you, then opt for a brighter gold over a richer, warmer gold.

If you don’t already dress in your best colors, or are used to wearing more muted shades and the idea of a whole wardrobe overhaul overwhelms you, you can book a Closet Review or a Shop With Me package. But in the meantime, if you are excited to start wearing your best colors, here are my three tips to get a handle on your wardrobe.
1. Pick 2-3 colors out of your palette to start experimenting with. I know you’ve probably pulled up “Bright Winter Color Palettes” on Pinterest and are seeing full pink power suits or kelly-green jeans paired with a bright purple top and thinking you’ll never dress like that–listen, put down Pinterest for just a second. Go back to your best colors graphic and pick 2-3 shades to start experimenting with. Pick up a couple of t-shirts or sweaters in those colors and watch the compliments start rolling in.
2. Don’t throw out your whole closet yet, but you can safely get rid of that old mustard t-shirt in the back of your closet that never looked that great on you anyway. Anything that just never had that spark when you put it on, you can safely chuck it knowing that it wasn’t you, it was the clothes. Also prioritize moving colors that dont work as well down and try to have you best colors closer to your face.
3. Pair back your make-up routine. If you are a Clear Winter, then you do not want to add much darkness to your face. Feel free to exchange the dark eyeliner for some bright raspberry lipgloss.

You love to hide away in your clothes and you are afraid that these will put you in the spotlight. Or maybe, you’ve pulled up Pinterest and seen one bold outfit after another. Or maybe, you feel like its hard to come off sophisticated while wearing the brightest colors out there- I know its hard to believe, but trust me, its possible!
If you’re happy and confident in the wardrobe you have now, that’s totally okay. You are not obliged to wear only your best colors all the time! If you want to treat your Best Colors like a secret weapon you pull out for weddings, job interviews, photoshoots, or first dates, that’s also awesome!
However, I think you’ll find that there are ways to blend this bright color palette into your personal style, and once you start raking in those compliments, it’s really difficult to go back to those colors that really weren’t serving you well.
If you were ready to embrace your colors but are now having a hard time envisioning yourself wearing them, start with your best neutrals (bright true white and bright black) and add one accent color at a time as close to your face as possible.
Do you find yourself drawn to warmer colors? You can also borrow from your sister season, Clear Spring, but try to stay more on the cooler side of these colors.
It’s time to discover your best colors!
When you’re ready to embrace your best colors and learn how to choose outfits that also work for your body type and lifestyle, book a Closet Review or a Shop With Me session
